  The Fayette Adventist Community Service is a arm of the church that reaches out to the community to help in times of need. We believe that it is important to give hope the hopeless. Weather in the inner cities or in the local community, we are here to help bring solutions to those that that have given up.                                                           Ministries  

Fayette Youth Service Corp- Ashley James-The Fayette Youth Corp will consist of young people from ages 13-21.  This corp would be responsible in helping out with the needs of the community. They also would work closely with inner city ministries. In addition, they will become a part of National Association for the Prevention of Starvation. 

 

Touch of Hope- Touch of Hope provides help to families who are homeless, unemployed, working poor, or experiencing crisis.  This would be in conjunction with faith-based organizations, social service agencies.  This includes distribution of food, clothing, housing assistance. This also includes substance abuse awareness, addiction treatment and counseling, job skills training, tutoring and mentoring programs and family and parenting counseling.

 Disaster Response-This ministries provides a helping hand to neighbors that are in need.  This includes: emergency distribution, crisis counseling for disaster victims. Fayette Community Health-Community health will be a entering wedge in out community, by providing: blood pressure screenings, nutrition education, stress management and dental care. The desire is to bring health into the community by way of mobile clinics, health fairs, and ultimately setting up a health clinic for those who are lacking insurance. 

Community In Reach- This will consist of community service within our church. All the ministries that are mention for outreach, will be put inward.  We will distribute clothing, housing assistance, disaster response, tutoring, family crisis such as: suicide attempts, child abuse, and any other crisis that may surface.  Out goal is to present our church as a loving church for those that our without, and those who are within.

  1. Money is not to be distributed without a background check and approval of the Community Service Committee.  No cash is to be distributed.
  2. Background checks include looking if  persons have traveled from church to church to petition for money. Or have a negative background with other churches in unwise use of church funds.
  3. No calls to the Community Service Leaders home unless an emergency
  4. Gas money is given in a card
  5. Community Service is a ministry of the church to help provide assistance for those in need, in the church and in the community.  If you have any questions or want information about events happening please contact the Community Service Event Leader. 
  6. Money is not to be given out in the name of Community Service, unless authorized by the board.
